Description
Brief
We are extremely proud to present what we firmly believe to be one of the best Eleanor Mustangs in the UK, an unmistakable icon, fully rebuilt from the ground up with no expense spared.
Having been officially registered on the Official Eleanor Registry, it is 1 of only 9 in the UK that has been accepted onto the official registry.
Fully rebuilt to very high standards, this Eleanor is powered by a thunderous 427 stroker V8 Crate motor, mated to a Tremec manual transmission, delivering its power through a bulletproof Ford 9-inch rear end, the perfect combination for authentic old-school muscle car thrills. The engine package is claimed to be 600bhp – still on running in mileage so a dyno run/setup at full rpm has not yet been completed.
Since completion, this incredible car has covered only 113 miles, essentially delivery mileage for what is effectively a brand new build.
The spec list for this car is incredible and is fully detailed in the history folder but, here are the headlines:
Fully rebuilt down to the last nut & bolt
427ci / 7 litre V8 crate motor producing around 600BHP
AFR Renegade 220 cylinder heads
Holly Sniper EFI

Tremec TKX-600 5 speed manual transmission
Full Willwood power brake system with 6 pot front & 4 pot rear calipers

History
Starting life in June 1967 in Metuchen, New Jersey as a Acapulco Blue Mustang Fastback, this car has come a long way in the past 57 years.
The current owner has spared no expense creating likely one of the best Eleanor recreations available.
This car has undergone a full nut & bolt restoration & Eleanor conversion by highly skilled specialists.
Every panel, nut & bolt has been refinished, replaced or upgraded. The bodywork features the instantly recognisable Eleanor wide arches, side exhausts, aggressive front valance, integrated driving lights & of course the unmistakable GT500 stripes.
The underbody is as immaculate as the top, this is a car that could happily sit on display mirrors at any show. The current owner has only taken the car to one event where it did of course come away with ‘Best in Show’ honours.
This stunning Mustang has been independently valued at £235,000.00 & to build the same car again today would cost circa £300,000.00!
Body & Paintwork
An absolutely fantastic finish across the car, paintwork was completed by the very highly regarded experts at The Bodycentre Ltd & is of course finished in the correct Eleanor ‘Dupont Pepper Grey’ paint scheme with the unmistakable stripes (stripes are painted & are not decals).
Unlike many recreations, this one has had custom side exit exhausts made which sit perfectly in the exits within the side mouldings.
This Mustang looks every inch the movie star. Wide arches, integrated driving lights, bullet mirrors & the correct Eleanor badging complete the package.
All badges, glass & lights are of course in ‘as new’ condition as you would expect. The paintwork is deep, glossy & beautifully detailed, a testament to the calibre of the build. Panel fit is superb throughout, with doors, bonnet & boot aligning very well.
Interior & Trim
Inside, the cabin is finished to a brilliant standard, period-correct details blend seamlessly with subtle modern touches for usability.
Anything that could be purchased new has been, as well as some modern upgrades such as power windows, a Sniper EFI display/control unit neatly tucked away in the centre console & Bluetooth upgrading stereo system.
All trim, carpets, seats & switchgear present ‘as new’ exactly as you’d expect from a car that has only covered 113 miles since its total rebuild.
Engine
Under the bonnet sits a glorious fully forged, 427Ci V8.
Delivering visceral power & soundtrack through a manual gearbox, exactly as an Eleanor should. The power is delivered to the rear wheels through a upgraded Ford 9-inch rear end, ensuring it handles the torque reliably & smoothly.
The car runs as it should do & is mighty impressive on the road with the most glorious of V8 noises to compliment it.
The engine compartment presents beautifully as can be seen from the pictures, even down to the billet aluminium bonnet hinges.
Running Gear
As with the rest of the car, no expense has been spared under the car.
Chassis strengthening, QA1 adjustable coilovers & new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres help deliver the near 600BHP to the road, the geometry is set up to cope and use all of the power.
Stopping power matches the performance, with a full Willwood power brake system featuring 6-pot front & 4-pot rear calipers, giving modern stopping confidence.
The 5 speed manual transmission is brand new & feels amazing to use, & connected to an upgraded 9inch rear end, it is the perfect muscle car set up.
