This Sports Special was commissioned by enthusiast Dr Grieve of Mayfield of Sussex with highly regarded Vintage and Classic specialist Orchard Restorations carrying out the build costing circa £80,000

Equipped with Equipped with Shortened/modified 1933 Riley chassis, Riley 12/4 engine built to road/race specification by specialist and VSSC Racer Rob Cobden, Rebuilt Riley/Armstrong Siddeley pre-selector gearbox by specialist G.Whitehouse Ltd, Riley Nine prop shaft, Front and back axles, Steering shaft, Steering rack, Steering arms, Riley Nine suspension rebuilt, Andre Hartford 506S shock absorbers supplied by Paul Beck, Bronze Riley brackets and backplanes by Harling Foundries, Splined hubs and half shafts and spinners supplied by Blue Diamond Services, Riley Nine brakes rebuilt and modified to hydraulic, New aluminium Sports body built by using traditional Riley methods, new ash frame front and bulkhead, Steel tubing to rear by John Appleby of Orchard Restorations, New windscreen made using original bucks (Fold flat mechanism), All chrome work replated, Riley Enamel badges by PD Enamels, Original headlights/side lights, Stainless steel exhaust, Exhaust manifold by Rob Cobden, Engine tuned aluminium dashboard, Original instruments including chronometric rev counter and clock restored by Vintage Restorations, 4 spoke bound steering wheel, Engraved Gear change indicator plate in alloy, Uprated 18 inch 60 spoke power coated wire wheels by Specialist Richards Bros, 5 new Blockley with new inner tubes, Period style Ingleston Black leather trim by Robert Parrot along with Period style Black mohair hood and mohair tonneau cover, Period leather bonnets straps, All other parts supplied by Blue Diamond Services
