VAUXHALL OMEGA 2.6 CDX V6 Estate 2001
Welcome to the ad for my 2001 Vauxhall Omega estate.
Details:
2.6 V6 CDX
Automatic
61,000 miles (going up a bit as it's in use here and there)
MOT: 30/ 09 - will come with 12 months MOT on collection
This is a really neat survivor car. Owned by an old gent previously and covering very little mileage. It’s in fantastic condition and is complete, original Omega floormats, load cover (which is fully working), dealer keyring/stickers etc
Spec:
4 electric windows with auto up/ down
2 keys with remote central locking
Electric sunroof
Dual zone climate control - working A/C blows nice and cold
Bi-Xenon lights (these are incredible, far better than all of my same era BMWs)
Cruise control
Heated seats
Heated electric mirrors
Electric seat height adjustment
Electric mirrors
Clever split folding seats with cavernous boot
Engine:
The 2.6 Y26SE is an absolute gem. First of the fly by wire engines it’s not all that bad on fuel and sounds at least as good as the Alfa Romeo Busso on song (honestly, I’ve not been drinking). It’s had a decent amount of recommissioning for fuel system and sensors and works beautifully.
Exterior:
Exterior is in great shape with some minor old man scuffs at each of the four corners and two small car park dinks on doors.
Absolutely no grot anywhere with the usual C-pillar/doorshut areas being pristine.
Paint is all good with no lacquer peel or paint defects anywhere.
Interior:
In great condition with all of the clever split seat folding and headrest stowage working as it should. Original Omega mats in place and no stains, rips or burns anywhere on the wonderful velour-ish interior
Everything works as it should in here.
Suspension & Brakes:
Recent minor recommissioning. New discs and pads, fluid flush and bleed. The brakes now work - please don’t expect an early 00s BMW pedal feel but once you get used to the very Vauxhall calibration they stop very well.
All in all handles and stops nicely and with the brand new Bridgestones and Pirellis on the Porsche Macan 8x18 and 9x18 wheels it’s not as barge-ey through the bends as you’d expect.
Since I bought it I’ve done the usual recommissioning for a car that gets used 1000 miles in 7 years. New fuel pump, in-tank fuel lines, fuel filter, oil + filter service, crank sensor (a curse word of a job) camshaft sensor, throttle potentiometer (the equivalent of a TPS on these) and a bunch of other bits that I've probably forgotten
I have the original 16” wheels with matching Pirelli P6s - however datecode on these is ‘07, hence the Porsche Macan 18s with brand new pair matched Bridgestones and Pirellis.
I'm ideally looking for a straight sale, however there is the potential for a deal with something interesting and with rear ISOFIX
Pricing:
Advertised price: car will come as is with Porsche 18s and the shiny new tyres and full set of original 16s with the old Pirellis fitted
£2500: car will come on the standard 16s with correct size, good budget (Acceleras etc) tyres fitted
£2250: car will come on standard 16s with the original Pirellis fitted
