Much loved Peugeot 205 Mi16 for sale.

Selling as it's not used enough and I need the space.

The car has belonged to me for many years - VERY reluctant sale and very cherished.
.
Started out as a 1.9 GTi low compression automatic. I stripped out everything and replaced it with a fully rebuilt and modified Peugeot 405 Mi16 engine running on Jenvey throttle bodies, Omex management and high lift Kent cams.

It has a GTi6 6-speed gearbox and lots of other modifications over the years.

The idea was to create a trackday-spec car that still looked like a standard 205 GTi.

205 GTi phase 2 1993 - 67K miles
Fully striped down to bare shell, resprayed black and rebuilt.
.
**POWERTRAIN**
1988 Citroen D6C (405 Mi16) engine. Bare crankcase rebuild, and modified to over 200 bhp (have dyno run). Has covered approximately 5k miles
Kent PT1604 cam shafts, vernier pulleys, new cam belt and new followers
Baffled sump with twin trapdoors (prevents oil starvation when cornering)
Oil sump sandwich plate to increase oil capacity
Modified oil pickup to suit above
306 GTi6 crankshaft windage tray and oil pump chain guard
ARP conrod bolts
Head ported and polished
Crank case decked for 11:1 compression ratio
NGK CR9EIX iridium spark plugs
Engine running on Evans waterless coolant Powercool 180 - (lifetime coolant, no corrosion risk)
Sparco silicone water and oil hoses throughout
Omex 600 management - mapped by Cambridge Motorsport
FouR 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies on Longman inlet manifold
Custom exhaust manifold to suit engine and chassis
Bosch 803 fuel injectors
Pipercross D shape air filter
Mocal 13 row oil cooler with thermostatic valve from oil filter
Full Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system on group N mounts
25 PSi additional oil pressure warning light LED, mounted on roll cage near instrument cluster

**GEARBOX**
306 GTi6 6 speed gearbox - stripped and rebuilt with new 2nd gear synchro
Quaife ATB limited slip differential
Adjustable quick shift gear linkage

**SUSPENSION**
Peugoet 309 fully rebuilt rear subframe on solid mounts
309 GTi front ARB with new mounts
309 GTi lower wishbones
Gaz adjustable front suspension top mounts - with above gives decent amount of negative camber
Gaz GGA (gold) racing coilovers on front and dampers on back
309 GTi drive shafts
Powerflex PU bushes
Suspension lowered from standard
OMP top strut brace for front suspension
Right hand steering lock limited to 2/3 due to 6 speed gearbox, left hand unaffected.

**BRAKES**
306 GTi6 front brakes with grooved and vented discs and EBC green stuff and pads (lots left)
Tilton front / rear brake bias valve
Replaced brake lines with new copper alloy lines throughout
Goodridge braided hoses all round

**WHEELS & TYRES**
All 5 original Speedline 15" alloy wheels, recently refurbished
5x Toyo Proxes R1R tyres - 4mm front and back, 5mm on the unused spare
**EXTERIOR**
Full bare chassis respray in black
Full Waxoyl underseal applied to underbody and all cavities - no sign of rust
Original plastic trim, bumpers and door handles smoothed and painted to match body colour
Removed rear door trim, smoothed and painted (still have original trim)
205 GTi automatic bonnet (features extra bulge)
**OTHER**
Sparco front bucket seats
Sabelt 4 point harnesses
Rear bench seats and belts removed
Sparco bolt-in 6 point roll cage with welded chassis mounting points to suit
Cobra 7928 alarm immobiliser with two fobs
Original and restored 205 GTi air horn!
Silent Coat 2mm mass loading sound insulation and foam applied to complete interior

**BAD POINTS**
Paintwork is nearly perfect, just small marks here and there
Tiny ding (1") in passenger door, no paint loss
Paint has crazed a little on the roof
Brake discs are a little rusty (will clean up with some driving)

Car will have 12 months MOT. Test drives welcome, but please provide adequate insurance cover.
Don't expect this to start and drive straight away. It starts like a track car because of the cams and mapping, i.e. needs warming up for a minute or two while holding revs up.

Its a very fun and engaging drive, a very connected experience and not at all like a modern car.
.
Comes with loads of the original literature / manuals etc.
.
No silly offers considered for this. It's a reluctant sale and I will only consider parting with it if the money is right.
