Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 2.1T MR FQ-340 4WD Euro 4 4dr

This Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX MR FQ-340 is an upgraded example of the rally-inspired icon, now fitted with a custom forged engine build costing more than £30,000. Offering significantly more power than the model's already potent turbocharged inline-four, it would make a thrilling addition to any assembly of performance heroes, ready for spirited drives on its new owner's favourite roads or tracks. This Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX MR FQ-340 is a lauded rally-inspired performance hero, which is now fitted with a potent forged engine with a substantial power gain over the standard car. It is powered by a rebuilt 2.1-litre turbocharged inline-four engine with forged components, coupled to an all-wheel-drive system and a six-speed manual transmission. Built in 2005, this car is recorded as having previously been registered overseas, before being imported to the UK and registered with the DVLA in November 2008. The forged engine is noted to produce around 500bhp, though the seller believes it could be tuned to produce around 800bhp if the next owner were so inclined. They state that the build cost, including their labou,r was in excess of £30,000. The odometer shows approximately 78,000 km, which the seller believes to be the genuine total. The Lancer Evo IX MR (Mitsubishi Racing) featured a revised front splitter, Bilstein dampers, lightweight BBS alloys, an aluminium roof, and carbon-fibre exterior trim. The MR FQ-340 was prepared by Ralliart and featured a revised ECU, boosting the performance to 345bhp at 6,000rpm and 320lb-ft of torque at 4,600rpm, as standard. This example is finished in Satellite Silver metallic with carbon-fibre accents, over a black leather and Alcantara-trimmed interior with matching black carpets, and featuring Ralliart-branded front seats and carbon-fibre trim inserts. It rides on a set of 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels housing metallic blue brake callipers, and fitted with a set of Yokohama BluEarth-A tyres. The specification includes a Mitsubishi-branded Momo steering wheel, climate control, water sprayer for the intercooler, electrically adjustable mirrors, and an Active Centre Differential (ACD). This particular car features a bespoke enlarged and forged engine built to a 2.1-litre capacity, and in the cabin there are aftermarket digital A-pillar mounted gauges for boost pressure and water temperature gauges. The engine build features Manley low-compression pistons, long conrods, a new crank, and uprated components throughout – with extensive documentation in the photo gallery. A HKS GTII ball bearing turbocharger (with a retail cost of £3,000+) highlights the high-cost build approach, while the seller notes that the engine has been balanced to within 0.1g for exceptional smoothness. It is currently mapped to what the seller states is a reliable 500bhp, but the seller also notes that it could in theory produce over 800bhp with further tuning. The car will be accompanied by its service history, and two keys.
