1998 MG MGF

1998 MGF 1.8i Abingdon.

If you know your MGs, you'll know how special this car is.

Very rare. Only 150 of this version were ever made - and now less than 30 registered on the road.

Will also include cherished number P666PJJ in the sale - which is valued at £750. (not my initials - was left on car by previous owner)

* 82252 miles. Will go up slightly as still in use on dry days, as the forecast for the rest of the summer fairly good.

* Full leather interior in 'Walnut beige'. As you can see from the pictures the seats are in very good condition - no rips or tears.

* 16" alloy wheels - all unmarked recently powder coated with good tyres

* No rust.

* Has had the head gasket replaced by the previous owner in 2009 - so no issues with overheating. The temperature gauge sits just below half way once car is warmed up and doesn't move from there. Doesn't use any water either.

* MOT until April 2026. No advisories.

* Car is SORN'd every winter and lives in a garage when not on the road. Only used on dry sunny days. could be one of the most pampered cars in the country! 😏

* Recent front disks and pads and caliper pins.

* New Timing Belt fitted 2019.

* Battery replaced a couple of years ago.

* 4 previous owners. I've owned since July 2022 and during this time the car has performed perfectly with no issues.

* Part service history. During my years of ownership it has had an oil and filter change twice..

* No warning lights on dash.

* 2 keys with remotes, plus original handbook and wallet.

* Big stack of invoices - including:

* New hood fitted in 2006

* Windstop also fitted in 2006

* Radiator replaced in 2008

* Head gasket replaced in 2009

* K&N Filter / induction kit installed in 2011. Original airbox available if you want to restore to original spec.(K&N does make an awesome noise with it fitted though - so once you hear it roar you might want to do what I've done and keep it in place for now as it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it)

* At some point one of the previous owners has replaced the original radio/ tape deck with a modern Alpine 200watt cd / usb audio system. Also has iPhone / iPod connection in glovebox I still have the original tape deck though and will include sale - so all of the parts are available to make this 100% standard again if you so wish.

* Beige tonneau cover also included. (I've never bothered faffing about with this - it is in a box in garage).

* A dust cover will also be provided.

* Has a hands free Bluetooth phone kit too. Microphone is tucked behind rear view mirror and calls play through the stereo

* Cheap insurance. Does 40+ mpg too - so very economical.
