The Toyota MR2 Mk3 was the third iteration on the mid engined sports car and, as a true convertible, and it was the first MR2 to really challenge the MX5. Launched in late 2002, this facelifted model introduced a six-speed manual gearbox in place of the five speed, a tweaked suspension and increased wheel size. Almost 18 years since production ended in 2007, the last MR2 looks an intriguing purchase now because where else are you going to get a sub-tonne kerbweight, mid-engined, rear-drive thrills car for so little money?
