PORSCHE 911 (996) CARRERA 4 1999

1999 996 Carrera 4 rare factory vesuvio Metallic. Manual 6speed 115k miles
All it's history from Porsche specialist and stacks of paper work for extra work and parts, no expense spared on looking after this car.
Early 3.4 car so nice and reliable. Recent new clutch and ims inspection at Williams Crawford.
Runs perfectly and nothing broken or missing.
Car has undergone a huge transformation in the last 9 months, I brought it as a completely standard early spec car with no aero etc and then went down a rabbit hole....
I brought all genuine 996.2 GT3 aero and front end and headlights so the car now has a 996.2 headlights and all new support brackets, wiring looms, headlight bins and any adjusters etc needed Todo this, it's not just a case of swapping the lights a wings.
Full repaint In factory colour shuts included,car and panels where stripped and 2k black filler primed and blocked out to make it nice and straight then followed up with a full flat and polish after paint.
Interior was removed and I purchased a set of new heated recaro cs seats and then had them retrimmed in real grey leather with a contrasting alcantra center and rear of the seats to match the colours in the dash etc.
Rear seats have also had the same treatment.
Recaro adapter rails,sparco mounts, slim seat adjusters
Also there is a ltd black edition momo prototipo steering wheel with momo boss and momo off set spacer.
Like wise imported gear knob and collar with alcantra boot.
Short shifter kit.
Has a Bluetooth stereo and small matching sub woffer under drives seat.
As this is an early car it has the classic style dash which has that retro feel over the later ones so the final finish offers a real OEM+ feel.
For the wheels I hunted down and imported from japan a set of 17" bbs rs wheels Which don't come up often but this allowed me to build them into 19".
Rebuilt with all new hardware,painted in matching body colour and slim center nuts fully polished.
New advan sport tyres
Suspension wise it's currently running full digital air ride/coilover with perch adjustment and pillow ball camber adjustment top mount set up that's installed in the spare wheel well as I wanted tidy and out the way.
This has been tracked at a good driving height and all damping set so it drives like a good set of coil overs and can still be enjoyed as a normal car.
Has a really nice stainless exhaust system that's not offensive when cruising etc and it also has a k and n air filter set up as it runs the correct GT3 fans and wiring so the standard air box doesn't work.
It's had loads of boring bits while doing the rebuild.. new rear arms, Aircon compressor,header tanks,pulleys, brembo premium pads and discs all round etc etc
major service done at Williams Crawford and Next service is due back at Williams Crawford next year but I have done a oil and filter as well as I like to keep on top of things.
I never intended to sell this car and i built what I thought was different take on a 996, and if you know the value of the parts it's taken Todo this then you know this isn't a decision that's been taken lightly but I have been given the opportunity to get a car I thought I couldn't!!!
This isn't a purist car but it's different and has got a really good reception from hardcore Porsche guys and normal people as well.
It did win top ten at players show couple months back and it has also been to flat six and rollhard on display and then dry stored the rest of the time.
I do have all the original early spec panels and lights.
I have some other bits I could do a deal on,carbon roof,non airbag door cards,GT3 exhaust,cats,manifolds.
Air ride and wheels are a very individual choice so I'm happy to swap them for different wheels or coilovers for the buyer at the right price.
Only kind of bad bit or thing to point out is it's now rwd as I really didn't like it 4wd, all the 4wd parts come with the car and takes a couple hours and basic tools to put back.
Not looking for part x unless it's at trade in value and is something easy to sell on.
