Overview
Growing up in the 90s and 2000s, if you were a rallying fan you were either team Evo or team Impreza; red and white vs blue and gold; Makinen vs McRae. If you were on the latter team, we have no doubt you’ve been pining after an Impreza all your life to live out your WRC fantasies, and we have just the ticket for you here.
This 2002 Impreza ‘bugeye’ example has been treated to a full rebuild in recent history, including a Graham Sweet (ex-Prodrive) engine rebuild, with the rebuild being carried out to full Open Class B13 / Group A specification, making this Impreza eligible for a variety of competitions whilst also being fully road-legal; yes, you could pop to the shops in it for milk if you really wanted an excuse to do so…
Having reportedly covered less than 50 stage miles on the major components (engine, gearbox, differentials) since the aforementioned rebuild, this Impreza is reported to be in excellent mechanical health, and offers an enticing way into both on and off-road competition rallying.
