Service History
A rare opportunity has arisen to acquire an unrestored Rover P6 2200SC that has been preserved to near concours-level quality.Originally supplied new on 1st July 1975 by Ribblesdale Motors Ltd near York, this Rover has enjoyed a life of exceptional care and attention. With just five former keepers and an astonishingly low 15,000 miles from new, it stands today as a true survivor. Its mileage is fully documented within the history file, which even includes records showing that examples of this calibre have previously commanded values well above our asking price.
Finished in its factory-correct Scarab Blue coachwork, beautifully complemented by a beige cloth interior, both elements remain in excellent order. All factory-fitted equipment functions exactly as intended, including the advanced power-assisted disc brakes that set the P6 apart from its rivals of the day. Powered by Rover’s 2200 single carburettor engine, this car delivers a smooth and capable 115bhp, providing refined performance with the durability and reliability that earned the P6 its reputation as one of the most advanced saloon cars of the 1970s.
A former show winner, this P6 has been maintained to the very highest standards, with the only non-standard upgrade being a stainless steel exhaust system. The car feels as sharp and poised today as it would have when it first left the showroom.
A vehicle worthy of any collection, large or small, it is equally ready to be enjoyed on the open road following a post-sale service.
