1980 AUSTIN MORRIS MINI CLUBMAN

Advertising on behalf of a customer this little Mini 1275 fitted with a Metro Turbo engine. Hes had it for 15 years and hardly used it. It does a Cat C against it from 2010. Ive no idea what it was for but bear in mind at that point in time the value of these cars would be quite low, therefore it wouldnt have taken much to cause the insurers to deem it uneconomical to repair. There is a large history file with the car containing current V5, old MOts, pics of the build when it was done, receipts for lots of parts bought when it was built. Since being put together all those years ago its only done 1600 miles. It starts runs and drives but will need a little work to get fully roadworthy. Body - Good solid little car. Floors will need smal repairs on front corners otherwise very good underneath for its age. Bodykit is from the Max Power era and migt not be everyones cup of tea these days, but the good news is the original arches are all still intact underneath and not been chopped away......but maybe it is your thing and youll keep it. Crack on rear driver side arch. Paintwork has survived well and with a bit of a polish is perfectly presentable. Bonnet is fibreglass and has picked up a few scratches and stress marks on it.Mechanics - 1275 Metro Turbo engine fitted onto a straight cut gearbox. It goes well. Coilovers, uprated rear shocks, aftermarket exhaust, brake upgrade and more. Not been used in anger for a good few years so it will need a good checkover and a bit recommissioning. Last showing as MOtd in 2021.Interior - Custom dash, bucket seats and harnesses fitted. Good door cards. Black headlining, Safety Devices half cage, aftermarket gauges which all appear to work.Wheels- 13 Superlites with good Yokohama tyresThis car has great potential and goes really well.
