2005 LOTUS EXIGE

I purchased this Exige S2 in November 2011 mainly for track days, to replace my previous 20 year owned classic vauxhall droopsnoot firenza that was again a modified track focused car but becoming far too rare to modify any more.

Sadly I have only done 4 track days with this car which include 2 at Pembrey in 2015 and 2 at Castle Combe in 2017, after which it was dry stored until late 2024 when I preformed a comprehensive full car rebuild plus additional upgrades.

Being an early Exige S2 2005 Premium Race edition, it as the Toyota 2ZZ GE cable operated and normally aspirated engine making it a very rare Exige S2 indeed.

Although this car can be driven on the road, in fact in 2025 I managed over 1000 road miles of pure driving pleasure :), but please understand it is a heavily track focused car, with absolutely no creature comforts, no air con, no heating, no radio cd player even manual side winding windows with suspension suited to the race track.

Please be aware this is no show queen it is built to function as a pure drivers car no other car I have driven comes close :), obviously while driving this car it responds to all the driver inputs instantly, the better you drive the greater the reward as some famous person once said "simplify then add lightness".

All modifications and upgrades have been carefully planned with performance, reliability and safety in mind, I never thought of selling, as the work, mods shown in the pics confirm.

This Exige is in excellent service condition, as can be seen in the pics I have provided detailing the comprehensive rebuild during late 2024 and early 2025.

These videos were in 2017 a small group of people so plenty of space and time available on track the way i liked it.

The car was still running oem std rubber suspension bushes, oem std rear brembo brakes and pre rolling road remap so down on power, braking and handling ability so time is available IMHO even with me driving :).

I use a panasonic toughbook cf-19 for commuicating and adjustments with the syvecs ecu (not for sale).

Full car suspension strip to bare metal rustproof and paint 2024 43400 miles.

Fuel pump inspection plate modified to allow fuel pump change without tank removal.

I have picture evidence of all the above work carried out in 2024 at 43400 miles.

Rolling road mapping session carried out August 2025 showing power at the wheels 184 bhp @ 8000 rpm tourque over 120lbs/ft @ 3500 - 8000 rpm.

This 2ZZ GE engine pulls well and cleanly from 3k-8.3krpm as the tourque and power graph shows.

On the road driving on the low cam <6200 rpm performance is still fanastic not like the std normally aspirated 2zz ge.

The car now goes even better :) especially when the second cam switches in at 6200 rpm although using this rpm range on the road means pushing some boundaries :) and keeping an eye on the shift light.

Please no silly offers for the car as I have the car in my own dry store and still enjoy the odd day out in the car.

I have spent literally 1000s of hours and many thousands of pounds getting to this condition that is evident from the pictures and description.
