The original Porsche 911 Targa, retaining the unmistakable lines of the mid-1970s 911 but with its distinctive Targa roof - it delivers the pure, open-air driving experience that defined an era.

What sets this car apart is the later replacement to a 3.2-litre engine, an upgrade from its original 2.7-litre unit. With a great deal of restoration behind it as well, including a 2010 respray, works to the kidney bowls, panels and new seals, the result is a car that blends updated classic character with a sharper, more engaging drive.

Recent servicing was completed in June 2025 where the fuel was drained, engine checked over, earth leads cleaned, the spark plugs and fuel filter was replaced and the rear arches were cleaned and waxoly'd.

With its mix of vintage charm and upgraded performance, this special Targa 3.2 stands out well - a car that looks every inch the classic Porsche while offering a more versatile and rewarding experience behind the wheel.

The previous owner had the car for over 40 years and has documented some of the past history of the car in the paperwork section - a fascinating read. The same owner carried out a lot of work to the car and it's clear to see by our images and videos how good that restoration was. A lot of money has been spent on the engine when it was changed, back in 1989, plus on the body work too, with all the usual areas of concern being addressed, e.g. wings, sills, kidney bowls etc.

So this is a little something different to factory stock example, but it has all the right ingredients making it a fantastic opportunity to buy a '74 car at sensible money, due to the low reserve the owner has set.
