1988 BMW HARTGE

After owning this car for the past 4 years it’s now time to sell her on. I have another project on the go and I just don’t have the space for the tribute anymore.

The engine is a 2.7 stroker which was built by Bexley motor works who are now known as BM sport. Mechanically, the car is spot on and has never let me down. New tyres were fitted at purchase and have minimal wear to them. Genuine Hartge 16 x 7.5J wheels are fitted with Hartge centre caps.

The leather seats have all been reupholstered in black leather and the headliner has been re textured to bring it back to a far better condition. Electric mirrors and windows are fully operational.

The original cracked dash has been replaced with an uncracked one and the instrument panel was fully recommissioned as soon as I purchased the car. All dials are now in working order. The odometer was zeroed when the cluster was recommissioned and as such is now showing the 3,000 miles that I have covered. The true and accurate mileage is 126,000.

The following parts have all been fitted as new;

• Fog lights.

• Indicators.

• Sun roof.

• Windscreen washer unit.

• Coolant reservoir.

• Starter motor.

• Master and slave cylinders.

• Boot lid cover.

• Engine bay (bonnet) sound protector.

The car comes with the following genuine Hartge parts;

• Full Hartge bodykit.

• Steering wheel.

• Strut brace.

• Rocker cover.

• End exhaust tip.

• 6 branch manifold.

• Short shift gear knob.

The paint is metallic black and there is some slight paint blistering on the arches but the paint has not broken. Other than this the paint on the bodywork is in very good condition. There is no sign of rust on the inside of the arches and the sills are all rust free as is the front scuttle panel.
