This is a large wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) with a lot of interior space which can be used for wheelchairs or seats, or a mixture of both. The size of the wheelchairs will dictate how much space there is for other seating in the rear. In the front there is a double front passenger seat alongside the driver. There are currently 4 rear seats. In total the vehicle is registered to carry up to 9 including the driver. There is plenty of space in the back for a large or long wheelchair or for someone who needs to travel in a reclined position. There is also head-room for carers move round inside the vehicle to assist high dependency wheelchair users if required. If you need room to carry additional equipment, such as a portable hoist or oxygen container, please let us know the details and we will advise you. Access is via a rear tail-lift with a long platform suitable for large wheelchairs, At the near-side there is an automatic side step and grab rail to assist ambulant passengers on entry and exit. The wheelchair is restrained in the vehicle with a fully-tested wheelchair securing system and the wheelchair passenger has their own tested seatbelt. All our WAVs are fully type-approved and manufactured in the UK by approved WAV conversion companies. Each vehicle comes fully prepared from Fleximobility with an MOT, thorough service and new cambelt (if due within 8 months). Not all Peugeot Boxer WAVs are the same - different conversions have different features and dimensions.
