1995 GTM KIT CAR

Welcome to my advert for my GTM Coupe. I am reluctantly selling “Gilbert” as I am not using him enough and race cars need to be used. This car was built back in 1995 as a tarmac rally car, it has lived abroad for a few years and eventually came back to the UK when I purchased it. At that point the original engine had been replaced with a standard 1275 and there were only tell tale signs of its history. I set about building it back as a competition car with a fresh 1293 competition engine and close ratio straight cut gear box, roll cage, carbon seat and so on. The car has an MSA Passport and I have competed with it over the last three years and developed it further ironing out the last few issues.

Engine build was done by JW Engines in Tamworth and the cage installation and setup work by Iain Daniels Classic Motorsport in Appleby Magna both of whom will vouch for the car.

1293 +0.020”

11.2:1 compression ratio

Fully Balanced

Head Ported MG Valves and unleaded inserts

Swiftune SW10 cam

Minisport high lift roller tip rockers

ARP big end and head studs

Steel duplex timing gear with offset cam key

Central oil pickup

Straight cut drop gears, straight cut close ratio gear set, cross pin diff

4.2 final drive

The list goes on and on as it’s been a labour of love for the past 6 years.

It’s now time to move on to another new project so somebody will be the lucky owner of this great appreciating classic.
