2002 SUBARU FORESTER

Extremely reluctant sale of my beloved Forester due to a decision to move overseas. I imported this stunning Forester Cross Sport Turbo from Japan in August 2024 and have spent thousands to get it as perfect as I can.

It's the much better looking pre-facelift SG5 with the rare 5 speed manual gearbox and original option 'sport pack' body kit with privacy glass. The one previous owner in Japan lavished enormous of care on this car, even retaining the blue protective plastic on the sill plates. They also fitted WRX 4-pot front calipers, STi pink front strut brace and Laille Beatrush rear strut brace, and an STi genome boost controller and gauge. It also has alloy wishbones front and rear, and 2 underbody braces.

On arrival, Lee Allen IVA registered the car, converted the speedo and odometer to miles, and MoT'd the car at 40,373 miles. A new battery and an anti-roll bar link were fitted. On delivery to me I conducted the following:

Oil and Filter change

Rear diff oil change

Lanoguard to entire underside

Machine Polish and Bilt Hamber wax of the paintwork

Carbon Glass coating applied to the windows using a DA polisher

New mats to keep the original JDM mats preserved

New front ball joints

Fitment of 18" STi Alloys with brand new Continental All Season 2 tyres

Carplay Pro unit with reversing camera for Apple Car play / Android Auto

Audio reverse sensors

After an initial 1184 miles of running, the car went to renowned Subaru specialist FB Tuning for a full £1400 service, comprising: cam belt change, including water pump, tensioner and idlers, new aux belts, air filter, fuel filter, subaru black oil filter, change of engine oil, gearbox oil, rear diff oil, brake fluid, coolant and even the power steering fluid.

The car then went to Autosparx for a Thatcham Cat 1 Sigma Alarm / immobiliser and GPS tracker (£700) install. Since then the following parts have been changed: all 4 calipers, Black Diamond predator pads, power steering pump return pipe seal and a Pedders Sports Ryder full suspension kit.

At 44771 miles FB Tuning conducted a map check to confirm the car is in standard 220bhp / 306 nm specification. I have only used Momentum99 or V-Power fuel. The engine oil was changed and a new subaru black oil filter fitted. Since then a new gear linkage UJ has been fitted (the gear change is perfect now) and a replacement Kenwood head unit to capture UK frequencies.

Recently MoT'd at 45,808 miles with no issues.

If you want an immaculate JDM Forester in perfect mechanical order then look no further! The paintwork is gorgeous and the car drives beautifully; the engine and drive train are silky smooth and the handling and ride quality are excellent.
