For sale is my ‘early’ mark 1 996 3.4.

Being a 99 car, this has a dual row IMS bearing and drive by wire throttle. The 3.4 engine is much less likely to suffer from bore scoring (very rare on this engine) which means this is fast becoming the 996 to have.

I bought this car in June to replace a 987 Boxster and after doing 1,500 miles I've decided to sell. It's not getting used as much as I'd like and I am reducing the cars at home so this needs to go.

This car has had over £30,000 spent on maintenance over the years and I have a thick file with all the receipts and invoices of the money spent on it. Please don’t be put off by the mileage, it is in great condition and drives very well.

During the previous owners ownership a few things were replaced -

new O2 sensors

replaced carbon canister on the evap system,

fitted new semi solid engine mounts

new aux belt rollers

new Michelin pilot sport 5 tyre’s all round (done less than 3,000 miles since).

replaced the bulbs for improved night vision, which compliments the Litronic headlights really well.

I had some rust repairs done behind the front wheels to the sills of the body, which is very common on these. (I have all of this cut out, with new steel welded in and then protected and repainted).

wingback sports seats added, although the passenger one has a small split.

fitted reverse parking sensors behind bumper.

15mm spacers all round.

fitted 'extendmyseat' seat brackets for extra leg room.

CarGraphics exhaust mufflers. Nice sound, not obnoxious.

fitted 997 3.8s airbox.

new windscreen 4 months ago.

P911 number plate goes with car (worth circa £1,500).

Bad bits (all cars have them):

roof has been repainted at some point.

small crack in the centre of the front bumper.

small scratch on the engine cover.

passenger seat shoulder section needs re trimming and there's a small split in the seat.
