EXTERIOR

This Ninemeister project exemplifies the essence of the Restomod philosophy — timeless design, paired with modern precision and understated detail.

Stripped back to a bare shell, the car was painstakingly rebuilt and repainted, with a new factory roof skin installed to factory standards. A commitment to originality guided every decision: genuine new-old-stock steel panels were sourced for the front wings, bonnet, and bumpers.

Rather than exaggerate or reinterpret, the project remained faithful to its roots. The 2nd owner was adamant that it should not pretend to be something it isn’t, preserving the narrow body silhouette and capturing the purity of the early 2.4 S models.

The result is a car every bit as striking in person as in the studio photography, its immaculate panel fit and flawless Dolomite Grey paintwork with its discreet Porsche decals sitting on the lower body highlighting both restraint and precision.

INTERIOR

Step inside and you’re immediately struck by a sense of awe, surrounded by an interior that has been entirely reimagined with uncompromising attention to detail by Judd’s Coachtrimmers. Almost £37,000 has been invested in the transformation, ensuring every surface feels both authentic and beautifully reinterpreted.

At its heart are a pair of Recaro LX Pole Positions seats, mounted on bespoke adapter plates and retrimmed in supple leather and weave, their precision stitching echoed throughout the cabin. The floor tub has been smoothed for a cleaner aesthetic, while originality has been respected with the fitment of new-old-stock carpets and a taut, unmarked headlining.

Further refinements include a custom dash fascia plate and a genuine Porsche centre console, retrimmed in leather to complement the hand-stitched dashboard. A new MOMO steering wheel, finished in alcantara with matching seat thread, provides a tactile focal point, while details such as new Porsche sun-visors and a fresh handbrake handle with leather gaiter speak to the depth of the work undertaken. Even the front boot has been carefully rebuilt to the same exacting standard.

Modern convenience blends discreetly with an upgraded Stereo system seamlessly integrated into the dash, offering USB and Aux connectivity.

Despite the scale of the transformation, the result is one of harmony — a cabin where materials, design, and technical skill combine to create an interior every bit as captivating as the car’s iconic exterior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Beneath the deck lid lies a beautifully presented 3.6-litre engine, the ideal blend of drivability and torque. True to Ninemeister’s ethos, leaving it stock was never an option: the top end has been sharpened with RS cams and a tailored remap, allowing the motor to truly sing. On the rolling road it delivers an impressive 320hp alongside 290lb/ft of torque, a perfectly rounded output that transforms the driving experience.

In 2019 the car went back to Ninemeister to have an improved G50 gearbox fitted to the car and now the power is channelled through a smooth and precise drivetrain, rewarding deliberate, measured inputs with the kind of mechanical connection that defines the very best classic 911s.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

A set of sensibly sized, perfectly offset Braid Fuchs fill the arches with confidence, wrapped in nearly new ContiSport tyres that offer ample life and just the right amount of sidewall to preserve authentic period driving dynamics.

Braking has been significantly uprated, with Boxster four-piston calipers paired to 3.2 Carrera discs up front, delivering strong, confidence-inspiring stopping power.

The suspension, too, has been comprehensively evolved. Up front, new Bilstein Race inserts work in harmony with Clubsport-spec dampers at the rear, supported by Turbo torsion bars, steering arms, and refreshed spring plate bushes. The result is a chassis that strikes an ideal balance between grip, precision, and long-distance comfort — a setup that feels every bit as considered as the rest of the build.

HISTORY FILE

This superb Ninemeister showcase was completed in late 2016 and has since covered just over 10k miles in the care of its current owner.

The car’s history is well documented, with all previous custodians known. Prior to the restoration, it spent 13 years with 9m’s own Colin Belton, before passing to a close friend who cherished it for a similar length of time. Fortuitously, the timing of that sale coincided with the previous owner’s search for the perfect donor — setting the stage for this meticulous transformation.

Accompanying the car is the original book pack, documented history prior to its complete overhaul by Ninemeister. Prominent history folder shows regular servicing from its completion in 2016 to present day, with the cars last service completed at the end of 2024 this car is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.

All spare keys remain present and correct, further underlining the car’s exemplary provenance.
