Description

I have owned this car since December 2019. This is my 3rd Porsche 911, all 996’s, this is a car I had always wanted, since I first read about them in the pages of EVO magazine. After nearly 6 years, its time for me to move onto something new (replacement is a 996.2 GT3 with Manthey 3.9 engine).
I viewed several cars, and bought this car, because as well as being a fan of the car, I also like a blank canvas that I can tweak. This car was ideal for me.
Before I go any further, it needs to be made clear that this car is Damaged Recorded ‘Cat C’ car and has been repaired. This can be seen on any HPI (I have a copy from when I bought the car in the history) and is noted on the V5. The damage was front end. I had the car independently inspected before purchasing, again a copy of the report is included in the history. The repair has been completed correctly, and the car has evidence of being on a jig (clamp marks on the end of chassis rails).
The car is a C26 South African specification, only tell tale is the speedo, which shows KMH on the dial, but reads in MPH on the screen. It was a factory collection option car in January 2000, it was subsequently registered in the UK in July 2000. I would doubt very much if this car has ever left EU soil.
When I purchased the car in December 2019, the car had a lot of deferred maintenance, having been barely used for the previous 4-5 years. Over the winter of 2019/20 I spent approx. £10,000 on parts and maintenance, this has been the theme for my ownership, with over £30,000 being spent on the car in the 5+ years I have owned it, this includes £8000 on a gearbox rebuild in Jan 2025. Details of the maintenance and modifications made are below. There is a full record of everything in the history folder, which is can be viewed with the car.
The mileage on the car is genuine. The ECU confirmed the mileage from the engine run hours and average speed during the inspection I had carried out during my purchase in 2019. MOT checks will confirm the mileage since.
The front and rear bumpers have recently been painted to tidy up general stone chips and use marks. The car has just spent a day at the detailer that I use, getting it prepared ready for sale.
I have a 2 post lift available, so would be happy to show any potential buyer around the car with a full mechanical inspection. The car is very clean, original and honest underneath, this has been proven with the recent dry ice detail that the car has undergone, images of which can be supplied.
This car represents a turn key, useable GT3. Many of these cars need servicing and re-commissioning work to bring them upto scratch, this car is ready to use.
Im looking for £53,999 for the car.
This is complete as it currently stands, but I have some options on adding/changing the spec to suit the new owner.
Im happy to discuss specification adjustments on the car and subsequent cost changes.
The car would make a great track car and is an excellent drivers car, ready to go.
The car has MOT until 12/03/2026.
