1998 Ferrari

Completed on 17 March 1998, just ten days after entering production, this striking Ferrari F355 Spider F1 was finished in the elegant shade of metallic Grigio Titanio (FQ 3238) with Blu Scuro leather upholstery, Blu 168 carpets, and a matching blue hood. Built to Australian specification, the car was equipped with a kilometre speedometer and third rear brake light before being shipped new to New Zealand, where it was supplied through official importer Continental Car Services. First registered on 20 May 1998, the car was delivered to its original owner, Auckland businessman Sir R. B., then aged 56.

In March 1999, ownership passed to Mr P. R. of Auckland, who retained the car for a year before its sale in March 2000 to Mr V. G. of Wellington. By 2009, the odometer showed a modest 40,000 km (25,000 miles), reflecting careful and sparing use.

The car was imported into the United Kingdom in 2016 by G. P. Ltd, trading as V. M. of Hampshire, and first registered here on 1 May that year. Later that December, it was acquired by its most recent custodian, London-based business consultant Mr N. B., at which point the mileage stood at just 42,000 km (26,250 miles).

Today the odometer reads only 43,124 km (26,952 miles). Believed to be one of just three F1 Spiders finished in metallic grey currently recorded in the UK, this example is offered in notably original condition and presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Maranello’s most sought-after open models.

Recent maintenance has included the installation of new catalytic converters and a full annual service carried out in our workshop. Accompanying the car are its factory-original service book, handbook, leather wallet, tool kit, Certificate of Conformity, spare keys, and the all-important red master immobiliser key.
