1998 Lotus Elise S1 finished in Lotus’s signature colour of Norfolk Mustard over black hide interior. A two-owner car from new with only 37,500 miles.

An extremely rare and sought after ‘early build’ Elise, fitted with the highly prized MMC brake discs, aluminium engine cover, green bonded chassis and boot bag.

Supplied new by Lotus main dealers Haydon Daytune of Cambridge, the car was sold to its first owner on the 15th August 1998 with the factory options of alarm system, radio fitting kit, driving lamps and leather seats.

The current owner purchased the car on the 22nd May 2003 at which time the car had covered approximately 12,000 miles, and during his stewardship the car has always been garaged and used and enjoyed lightly.

This Elise is accompanied by a fantastic service history having been maintained by either Lotus Main dealers or recognised specialists the majority of its life with the original service book and invoices confirming that services have been carried at the following intervals.

Prior to marketing the car has been fully inspected in our workshop, and upon sale it will receive a ‘B’ service and a new cambelt as per Lotus Service schedule to ensure the car is in fine fettle for its next owner.

Externally the paintwork remains is in very good original order with excellent finish whilst the fibreglass bodywork remains free from stress crack or osmosis.

The interior is in equally fine order with only some natural patina to the black leather seats giving any indication that the car has just passed its 27th birthday.

Accompanying the cars original book pack is a large file full of original receipts and MOT certificates dating back to 2002 together with a Motor Check certificate confirming the car is HPI clear and the mileage verified. Both keys and alarm remote controls are also present
