EXTERIOR

1 of just 25 KA401 designated cars finished in an Individual shade of Japan Red this E92 M3 looks utterly superb, with the vibrant red shade perfectly capturing the cars aggressive form. Contrasting the solid red finish a series of exclusive black details include the gloss finish grilles, vents and satin competition alloys complimented by a highly polished M Performance exhaust system. Helping to lower the cars centre of gravity, the exposed carbon fibre roof creates a motorsport feel that harks back to the M3’s racing pedigree.

The Competition Package, sometimes known as ZCP version was released in 2010. The changes related to the suspension and electronic stability control and consist of a 10mm lowered ride height, revised tuning of the variable dampers (Electronic Damping Control) and 19 inch multi spoke alloy wheels.

INTERIOR

Continuing the exclusive Individual specification of this special edition, the interior is beautifully trimmed in a stunning combination of extended Novillo Black leather with Red contrast stitching which spans the doors, centre tunnel and the deeply bolstered sports seats. Carbon inserts on the door cards and centre console offset the soft black leather whilst a generous spec includes heated seats and cruise control as well as phone connectivity – all the makings of the ideal grand tourer.

Overall condition of the interior is excellent; seats show with nothing more than some very minor creasing to the drivers side whilst the bolsters remain free from any signs of marks or wear.

Of course performance is adjustable via BMW’s programmable M button allowing pre-programming of the EDC, DCT and traction control settings whilst tightening throttle response.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The high revving V8 engine barks into life with a distinctive roar and settles quickly to a purposeful idle. Fitted with the popular M Performance exhaust acoustics are further improved without any unnecessary drone.

The 7 speed DCT gearbox is superb step on from BMW’s SMG setup – providing a fully automatic function or manual changes via paddle shift.

Benefitting from a thorough service history, including the all important running in service at 1,145 miles, the car is in excellent health.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

The satin black 19 inch multi spoke M alloy wheels perfectly complement the M3’s vibrant exterior and remain in pristine condition, sporting premium Michelin Pilot Sports all round.

Red callipers show through the fine black spokes, as do the large drilled discs, which still have plenty of life with no evidence of lipping or excessive wear.

Supplied new by Cotswold BMW on 22/02/12 this beautiful E92 M3 was 1 of just 25 Individual Japan Red cars produced by BMW under the internal KA401 designation which included a host of exclusive options including black chrome bonnet vents, side + kidney grilles, red callipers and satin black wheels as well as tonal interior stitching, extended leather and the sought after ZCP Competition Package.
