2010 Mazda MX-5 NC 3.5 2.0 PRHT – BBR Super 180 / Meister R / Roddisons Setup

This is one of the best-sorted NC MX-5s you’ll find in the UK – set up to deliver confidence and pace on real roads.

Engine & ECU: BBR Super 180 conversion with 185bhp. Paired with the Racerom unit (with downshift autoblip, heel-and-toe assist, and other functions, switchable via smartphone app). Power delivery is smoother, more linear, and transforms the car without spoiling its character.

Exhaust: LC Motorsport performance exhaust (de-catted) with twin 4" tips – purposeful but rounded soundtrack.

Suspension: Meister R CRD coilovers, fully set up by Roddisons Motorsport (Sheffield) – widely regarded as the country’s MX-5 suspension specialists. The setup is outstanding: 32-way adjustable damping on each corner, confidence-inspiring on B-roads, and a genuine step change over stock.

Interior: Miyako edition with black leather & red stitching. Upgrades include a Momo Tuner steering wheel and matching black leather gaiters with red detailing.

Wheels & Tyres: Red Bola alloys wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres – superb grip, sharp steering feel, and a striking look.

I’ve owned Porsche, Ferrari, TVR, and Caterham, and yet this MX-5 – thanks to the Roddisons suspension and BBR upgrade – delivers a level of confidence and balance that genuinely stands out.

A properly sorted driver’s car, ideal for fast road use and rewarding every mile.

Although the badges on the back show I've been to the Nurburgring and Le Mans, those trips were not done in this MX5 which has had light use in the two years I've owned her. I've only done around 5000 miles but as I'm nearly 80 it's time for me to move on.
