Overview
By the time the Panamera came out, all but the most die-hard marque enthusiasts had relented to just how excellent Porsche’s four-door lineup really was, with top-end models such as the GTS, Turbo and Turbo S offering incredible performance with room for all the family to enjoy, not to mention a capacious boot and genuine day-to-day usability thanks to their all-wheel-drive systems.
The first-generation Panamera (code 970) was unveiled in 2009, with the GTS model - as seen here - joining the fold in 2012. Offering both improved performance and revised handling over its 4S stablemate but retaining the brilliant naturally-aspirated V8 soundtrack that was lost with the turbocharged engines, the pre-facelift models avoided the restrictive OPF and other filters that numbed the soul-stirring soundtrack of the V8 models, which makes them all the better, in our opinion.
As with any Porsches, options and specification are key, and this 2013-registered GTS quite literally ticks all the boxes - there isn’t a single blanking button or switch to be found in the cabin, with all of the centre console buttons in full use - a rare find, and one which our seller is quick to point out, having seen dozens of Panameras before settling on this example, none of which had such an extensive array of optional extras.
Presented in outstanding condition and with the benefit of a full OPC/specialist history and ongoing Porsche extended warranty, if you’ve been toying with the idea of getting into a first-generation Panamera GTS with all of the bells and whistles, this is the one you’ve been waiting for.

-
A great ‘jekyll and hyde’ car - in normal mode the GTS is comfortable and civilised, but dial up through the Sport and Sport + modes, and it becomes an “outright hooligan” with a soundtrack to match.
