EXTERIOR

Successor to the iconic RS2, the B5 RS4 has firmly established itself as a modern classic. Produced in very limited numbers, with only around 400 right-hand drive cars ever built, it remains a highly sought-after and rare find on the market – especially with such low mileage. This example is an absolute standout, looking every bit as good in person as it does under our studio lights. Having covered a staggering 17k miles from new in the hands of just 2 registered keepers – Volkswagen Group and Jamiroquai Ltd – the Avus Silver paintwork gleams with a rich depth of shine, with very few imperfections to be found. The 18-inch alloy wheels are immaculate, entirely free from kerb rash, while the aluminium body trim presents superbly all around, another sign of careful ownership.

INTERIOR

Sit inside and the RS4 immediately impresses with its blend of performance focus and luxury. Due to the incredibly low mileage, the deeply bolstered Recaro seats, finished in supple black leather, remain in superb condition throughout. The leather-trimmed door cards and steering wheel further enhance the premium feel, while the carbon fibre inlays, dash plastics, and switchgear all present beautifully with a great feel and texture. In the footwells you will find the original Audi overmats. Clearly cherished by each of its three owners, the interior quality and condition defies its age.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The engine bay is every bit as impressive as the rest of the car, with the 2.7-litre bi-turbo V6 neatly dressed in carbon fibre. The most recent service and health check was carried out by Audi Harrogate in September at the current mileage. On the road, the V6 delivers the best of both worlds – smooth and refined in everyday driving, with plenty of performance when required. The 6-speed manual gearbox remains precise and engaging, while the quattro all-wheel drive system ensures excellent traction and composure in all conditions.

HISTORY

This sublime example was first registered in September 2001 by Audi Aylesbury, and, in the hands of only three keepers, has covered an impressive 17,533 miles from new. Initially an Audi press car, the RS4 was subsequently gifted to Jay Kay of Jamiroquai in 2003 by Audi UK (as documented within the paperwork). Jay Kay kept it as part of his famous collection until 2016, when it was purchased by a private collector who never registered it in his name. The accompanying history includes the original RS4 leather document pouch with all manuals, service invoices, MOT certificates, correspondence from Audi UK to Jay Kay, and the service booklet with five entries at the following mileages: 15,221 – 16,834 – 17,341 – 17,369 – and most recently 17,479 miles in September 2025. The car also comes with a full set of three keys (two fobs and one valet key).
