The Mercedes-Benz SL500 (R129) is a true icon of 1990s luxury motoring, perfectly blending elegance, advanced engineering, and exhilarating performance. As part of the R129 generation, the SL500 built on the reputation of the SL-Class by offering a refined open-top driving experience with modern touches that were ahead of their time.

Coming to market from ~19 years with our vendor, the Mercedes has previous engine works completed where the cam belt had broken. The engine was serviced, with new front timing chain guides and chain fitted, a clean over of the sump completed, new engine mountings fitted and replacement distributor caps installed.

The car is being sold as a light project as it would benefit from some attention to its exterior and the paintwork, but overall, it's a perfectly practical, useable and well cherished car. The car holds 11 service stamps, 6 of which are Mercedes service centre stamps and has a current MOT that's valid until 07.08.2026.
