Stunning 1998 Mercedes SL320 Automatic finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic Coachwork with contrasting sumptuous Black Leather Upholstery and rich polished Walnut Veneers. This wonderful R129 SL has a staggering £20,092 of desirable factory fitted options. Factory options include the iconic 18 inch AMG deep dish polished mono block alloy wheels, digital climate control, full heated leather upholstery, driver electric seat memory function, walnut wood trimmed gear shifter, leather steering wheel, acceleration skid control (ASR), child seats, metallic paint, colour coded removable hardtop, and anti glare mirror. The car was subject to a CAT D (non structural damage) insurance write off, all the way back in June 2011 and was subsequently repaired and passed it's MOT later the same year. Prices have been on the up concerning this marques over recent years, with no sign of slowing down. The current keeper has owned this beautiful Mercedes Benz for the last 15 years and has used it very sparingly. It was kept in storage for around 9 of these years between short periods of use. In fact over the course of their 15 year ownership, the car has only covered 3,700 miles! Original service book stamped at 12K, 16.4K, 22K, 31.2K, 34.5K, 41.7K, 42.8K and 44.8K. Current MOT valid until the 10th of August 2026 with no advisories. The car drives faultlessly with the bullet proof 3.2 petrol, 6 cylinder, naturally aspirated engine firing straight up, with no smoke and sounds glorious. The transmission is silky smooth up and down the box with fully functional kick down and driving modes. The steering, suspension, brakes and drive train are positive, responsive and free from any unwanted knocks or noises. It really is quite superb and a lovely car to drive. Everything works as it should including ice cold climate control, electric front seats, electric convertible roof (in lovely condition), electric windows, remote central locking etc. A later edition Bluetooth ready stereo has been fitted and is fully functional. The hard top roof is included in the sale and is stored at our dealership, it has benefitted from a new roof lining in Mercedes fabric in recent years. The bodywork overall is clean & tidy and the car sits very proud of itself. We have not priced or marketed this car as a concourse showroom example and as such, the car does have various small imperfections commensurate with age. That said, the body is rust free and has no unsightly dents, lacquer peal or blistering. We have had the car machine polished and the paintwork has a wonderful deep shine.
