2006 FORD GT

The immediately recognisable Gulf Heritage paint scheme was only available as an option on the Ford GT for the final year of production, 2006MY.

The only other factory options available were the lightweight BBS wheels, premium McIntosh audio system and coloured brake calipers. This car has all of those too, making it what’s generally referred to as a four option car.

It was built at the Ford Wixom plant on the 8th of March 2005.

Just 343 of the total 4039 Ford GTs were built with the Heritage paint option. Only 6 are believed to be in the UK.

This is an outstanding low mileage example of the head-turning supercar in an iconic colour scheme and in excellent condition.

Under the rear clam-shell engine cover lies a 5.4-litre supercharged V8 producing 550bhp and 500lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

It has benefited from regular servicing since arriving in the UK ten years ago.

Imported to the UK in 2015 with 4,201 miles recorded it was registered here via the IVA process in July of the same year. The car has had just three private owners in the UK.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

The car benefits from some minor modifications namely “hot buttons” seat trim rings, KW V3 coil over suspension (original parts retained with the car) and a rear bumper delete kit (original removed bumper has been retained and will be supplied with the car) – all of these were fitted in the UK for the first owner. The KW suspension had the HLS system added to in 2020 for the second owner providing the ability to lift the front and rear of the car to improve ground clearance at low speed.

The Audio head unit has been upgraded to a Sony system with better connectivity. The original McIntosh unit has been retained and will be supplied with the car.

The original owner’s manuals are included, along with a history folder of relevant invoices and documents.

CONDITION

The paintwork is in excellent condition, having been machine polished and ceramic coated with regular care and maintenance.

Inside, the black leather upholstery is immaculate.

The front tyres are new having just been fitted this year, the rears are in excellent condition too.

The most recent MOT test at July 9th 2025 and 13,436 miles, was a clean pass with no advisories or defects, as all previous MOTs have been.

SUMMARY

The Ford GT is a fantastic modern supercar, which is not just blisteringly fast in a straight line, but also boasts impressive handling thanks to the development influence of Ford’s global team. In its launch year in the UK, it was crowned as Evo magazine’s Car of the Year, with the team calling it “one of the all-time great supercars”.

Rarely seen on British roads, this car is in superb condition and would make an eye-catching addition to any collection.
