Overview
There comes a time in every petrolhead’s life where the words “I quite fancy a track car” spill out, and your world changes forever, often in ways that lead to awkward conversations with one’s partner. Usually, this can be managed with the judicious application of a half-caged MX-5 or possibly a Caterham of one flavour or another.
However, for the truly dedicated (and possibly slightly unhinged) amongst us there is really only one way to go, and that’s all in. In our case, that means you’re going to need a completely custom-built, V8 powered, fire-breathing monster with a stiffened and lightened shell decked out with more carbon fibre and trick drivetrain bits and pieces than the average BTCC pit crew could muster up. And if such a machine could be built by seasoned experts, with access to some of the finest motorsport grade parts and equipment on the planet, well that would just be dandy. Sadly, such wonders of motorsport artistry do not rain from the skies.
Damn good job we can offer you this magnificent beast then isn’t it? What you’re looking at is a bespoke from nose-to-tail Camaro-based track weapon. Now, while an early 70s Camaro may sound like an unusual choice for a track car, it’s worth remembering that they have a long and storied history in motorsport – including racing in period in the BTCC, then known as the British Saloon Car Championship.
Built by those good chaps at Carcass TV (Powernation on YouTube) for EBC Brakes, it is in every conceivable way both amazing and utterly terrifying. Just as any good race car should be. From the *ahem* “small block” V8 race engine to the motorsport grade carbon prop-shaft, race-spec suspension and full fire-suppression system, this is every inch the full-on track car.
As well as benefitting from a custom rollcage that hard-fixed into the rear chassis and front subframe, the body has been significantly lightened and strengthened. In combination with that glorious racing V8, which puts out more than 700bhp, the results are quite staggering. The builders themselves described it as “the fastest car they’d ever driven” and “an absolute animal”. Which sounds perfect to us.
If you’re looking to make a statement at your local track day, look no further. This thing is beautifully finished, brutally fast, handles superbly and sounds utterly evil (in a good way). This doesn’t really clip apexes and zoom down straights. No, it utterly obliterates them with a maniacal combination of pure mechanical grip and belligerent naturally-aspirated fury.
Which leads us to only one conclusion: if you’re after a truly unique, superbly engineered track car then you need this delightfully mad, utterly intoxicating machine in your life.

Summary
If what you want from a racecar is barely contained savagery and the kind of adrenaline rush that usually only comes from being chased by a spectacularly angry leopard, then this is exactly the right car for you. Visually it’s unforgettable, but when that naturally-aspirated V8 fires up, spines will tingle for miles around.
We’ve rarely seen a track car built with so little compromise and to such an exacting finish. It’s not only a compellingly unique proposition, but it’s the sort of machine that will worm its way into your heart and never leave.
Brutal, raw and sinister even before it fires up or turns a wheel in anger, it’s the sort of car that would dominate a track day just by turning up. The ultimate distillation of everything we love about internal combustion performance vehicles, we can’t think of anything we’d rather hit the track in.
