1999 LOTUS ELISE

For sale, with a heavy heart, is my beautiful little Lotus Elise. I have loved owning this car for the last decade, and it is a part of our family. However, I've got my eye on something else, and I need to raise the funds to buy it. I wish I could keep it!

I've just given the car a full service, including cam belt, water pump, thermostat, head gasket, valve stem oil seals, and all associated seals/gaskets required. I also fitted a new stainless exhaust flexi at the same time. She is running beautifully and ready to be enjoyed.

The car has good service history - it comes with a big folder of receipts from places like Bell & Colvill, Lakeside, and since I owned it it has been self-maintained (with invoices/receipts) - I've worked on Elises for 20 years, have built one from a bare chassis, and raced them for a decade, so the car has been well looked after and been in safe hands! The service book is well stamped, showing how much it has been cared for.

Excellent paintwork, other than a few very minor bits, and the front bonnet which has a few bubbles.

I gave it a suspension refurb a few years ago, and still tidy enough (see photo).

Brand new EliseParts roof fitted in June.

Minor modifications:

Stainless exhaust

Upgraded radiator and fan

Air filter

Bilstein dampers (old now, but no leaks etc – I also have an additional spare set (used) to go with the car)

Upgraded throttle cable from an S2 (removing the rubbish series 1 linkage) - so it has a nice smooth pedal feel

Larger 'motorsport' diffuser (original included)

Probax seats from an S2

Headlight covers

USB plug instead of cigarette lighter

Eliseparts lower engine mount/steady

(and probably more small items I've forgotten)

It has 5 previous owners (2 of which are me.. as I bought it back after selling and regretting!).

Obviously it's HPI clear, and has no damage to the chassis, subframe or anything else.
