In 1992, 12 years after the last MG sports car had rolled off the Abingdon production lines, Austin-Rover made the inspired decision to revive this most charismatic of British marques by introducing an entirely new model - the MG RV8

The MG RV8 was produced in limited numbers, combining the iconic MG B design with modern performance and luxury features

Finished in Woodcote Green with an interior featuring soft leather in Stone Beige and a Burr Elm facia and door caps, this particular example has been carefully maintained since its repatriation from Japan in 1999

Powered by a 3.9-litre Range Rover EFi V8 developing 188bhp fed through a 5-speed LT77 gearbox and a new Salisbury axle

The engine has been professionally rebuilt (invoice on file) ensuring that it runs and drives well and in 2018, the car was upgraded with electric power steering at a cost of £1,550, improving driving comfort and handling

The car’s mileage is recorded at 34,557 miles, though the speedo was replaced early in the car’s UK-registration process. The current speedo displays 20,808 miles, and the original KPH speedo remains in place for transparency
