2003 ASTON MARTIN DB7

The DB7 gained supercar status with the V12, the first in AML’s production history. With Ian Callum updating the DB7 i6’s svelte body to give a more muscular look, new suspension all round and that glorious V12 pushing out 420bhp, this was an altogether different car especially when fitted with the optional Touchtronic gearbox.

The Car

Aston Martin Stratstone’s Mayfair showroom in London ordered this DB7 for stock and used it to promote the majority, if not all, of the available options for the model. Specified in Tungsten Silver with a Charcoal leather interior. The options pack is impressive, including Touchtronic gearbox, 19” alloy wheels, Vanquish / GT seats, carbon fibre trim, rear parking sensors, heated front screen, colour-coded windscreen wiper valance, steel mesh grilles, carbon fibre engine bay panels, grey brake callipers, aluminium foot pedals and an uprated Becker system with navigation and Bluetooth etc.

The options fitted to this car are one thing; its condition and maintenance history are another – and one that belies its 83,700 miles. The car presents in immaculate condition, both externally and internally, with the chassis and mechanicals in very strong shape a result of continued meticulous maintenance. The higher mileage is due to regular motorway use – both in the UK and abroad – for business by a previous owner, which results in less wear and tear on mechanical parts as they are always operated at the correct temperature.

Its History

Delivered new to it’s first owner on 14th of November 2003, this DB7 Vantage was serviced by Aston Martin Sales main dealer Stratstone of London up to 2005 and then by Aston Martin Grange of Essex. From mid-2011 onwards and with 68,000 miles on the clock, a range of specialists, including Marlow Cars, Chiltern Aston Centre, Elite Garage Services Ltd serviced the DB7.

The current and 5th owner of the DB7 purchased the car in October 2012 from Chiltern Aston Centre with 69855 miles covered and a Major Service and additional items were completed by Chiltern Aston Centre as part of the purchase agreement including the all-important Plugs and Coils service. Since 2018 the impeccable maintenance and servicing of this lovely DB7 has been carried out by renowned Aston Martin Specialist Chicane with work including a new starter motor, a radiator upgrade to given even better cooling performance and the air conditioning full service and re-gas at the same time. In September 2018, all four tyres were replaced with Michelin Sport Pilots, always a good sign.

The DB7 has had a replacement headlining fitted, a full service, various suspension items attended to and a new brake light switch fitted during its most recent time at Chicane in September 2025.

Although the odometer shows 83700 miles, the engine AM2/04398 has only completed 67200 miles as the engine was replaced under warranty by Aston Martin in September 2004 with 16467 miles driven due to crankshaft issues.

Conclusion

This is an opportunity to own an exceptional condition DB7 Vantage specified to a very high level and originally supplied with the very rare carbon fibre trim packages under the bonnet and in the interior, that really complement the charcoal leather Vanquish/GT seats. Add in only 5 owners, the last since 2012, and a meticulous maintenance and service history and you have a stunning car that drives as well as it looks.
