Overview
Breaking cover in 2002 the 575M (with the M standing for Modificata) was ostensibly a comprehensively updated 550 Maranello, which as we all know was already an astonishingly good car. Said improvements came in the form of, amongst other things, a trick F1-branded automated single-clutch gearbox, a larger 5.75-litre V12 with more power, active dampers and bigger brakes, as well as the obvious styling tweaks care of Pininfarina.
Now boasting 515bhp as opposed to the 550's 485, 0-60mph was dispatched in four seconds and the car could now hit 202mph flat out. It didn't just go like stink though, it also handled impeccably with Evo magazine hailing it as the greatest drivers' car of the previous decade in 2004. Quite the accolade.
Looking every bit the cover star the 575M is a devastatingly quick car but it's in the high speed cruising department where it's most at home thanks partly to a more laid back character and a plusher interior than its predecessor, qualities that mean the 575M is ageing like a fine Barolo.
Lasting for just four years the 575M represents a rather small chapter in Ferrari's grand opus but that doesn't mean it isn't an incredibly alluring option, with prices lower than many other offerings from Maranello making it a superb choice when it comes to modern classic Prancing Horse ownership, with this particular 2003 Ferrari 575M being no exception.
An early, low mileage example that presents in beautiful condition it's an excellent representation of the marque and comes complete with fully stamped service book showing regular inspections, with a recent full service under its belt that included those all-important belts. Resplendent in an arguably more interesting shade of Argento Nurburgring silver with dark blue leather interior the car has clearly been fastidiously maintained as well as covered in heated storage during winter and when not in consistent use.

Summary
A bona fide member of the 200mph club thanks to that glorious naturally aspirated V12 engine the 575M certainly has the performance credentials to match it's classic Maranello looks and remains a relatively affordable way into Ferrari ownership, especially compared to prices when new. This particular example is well worth considering thanks to its low mileage, full service history and excellent exterior condition.
