Overview

As far as hot hatches go, the Mk7 Ford Fiesta ST surely has to be near the top of the list. Released in 2013 as a spicy version of Ford's perennially popular supermini, not only does it go like a scalded cat thanks to its 180+bhp 1.6-litre Ford EcoBoost turbocharged engine with twin-independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) (not to mention the “overboost” feature that delivers nearly 200bhp for short periods), but it also handles impeccably having such a well-balanced and truly involving chassis underpinning everything.

You can begin to see then why the Mk7 Fiesta ST was so lauded by the press and public alike but Ford went one better in 2016 with the release of the special edition ST200. With more power and a shorter gear ratio its 0-60mph time was down from 6.9 seconds to 6.7 seconds over the standard ST and the car's top speed was also increased to around 143mph. Add in Ford's trick torque vectoring system and cornering ability was also improved.

Externally the ST200 featured a unique paint job as well as 17” black alloy wheels, with the interior also receiving some welcome upgrades. Already generously equipped, the ST200 featured Recaro bucket seats, illuminated tread plates and sat nav as standard, along with other minor design tweaks, making the ST200 very desirable indeed.

This particular 2017 model comes with fully documented main dealer service history and presents well throughout. An original car that hasn't been modified it remains as Ford intended and represents a tidy and evidently well-maintained example of the marque that has many more miles, and indeed smiles left in the tank.

Exterior

• Paint and bodywork is in great condition overall

• No major damage to report but the driver's door lock has been stretched following an attempted break in (no other damage caused)

• All body panels align well

• No damage, fogging or misting to the main light clusters or windows

• There are a couple of marks here and there deemed as standard wear and tear by the vendor

• Driver's side wing mirror has started to degrade slightly around the edges

• Vendor reports two small blemishes less than 3cm in size on the front bumper that need colour matching

• The wheels are in good condition having been refurbished, with a slight mark on one as the only damage

• All four tyres were replaced in Feb 2025 approximately 3,500 miles ago as reported by the vendor but the offside rear is mismatched 

• The underneath presents well overall and appears straight but there is some usual surface rust in places to note
