1996 NISSAN CIMA

For sale is a 1996 Nissan Cima 4.1 V8, a rare car on the UK roads..

I’ve owned this car since 2019 when it was imported from Japan. It was driven for a few months and then taken off the road for 3 years while I carried out a partial restoration to bring it back to the standard it deserved to have.

This included a strip down of the front and rear end, bringing all back to bare metal, then re-applying seam sealer, epoxy primer, raptor stone chip coat where required and finished in Mercedes arctic white. Internal frame coating was sprayed inside every nook and cranny I could access inside the chassis.

Suspension components and all removed brackets were stripped and powder coated, nuts and bolts replaced with new. Anything that looked worn or had damage was replaced including seals, bungs and grommets. All other removed parts were deep cleaned and restored if necessary.

All exterior trims have been either restored or replaced with new, the windscreen has been replaced due to chips and the finisher seal replaced at the same time.

The exterior was resprayed in Rolls-Royce duck egg blue in 2022, with an unknown brand aftermarket side skirts and rear bumper valance.

The car has mostly been used for shows and dry runs out hence the low increase in mileage over the last few years.

Show awards include Meguiar's car of the day at Plus44 automotive show 2023, Sonax choice award and Ultimate Stance choice award at Offset show 2023.

The car is on a custom built air suspension system using BC BR series coilovers, AirMext airbags and Airlift 3P digital control.

The car rides smoothly as if on OEM suspension.

Custom built Leon Hardiritt Waffe 19” 3 piece wheels, with step lips and barrels from Rimscarnated and gold hardware, with 4x new Nexen Nfera SU1 tyres.

Mileage is at 95k Miles (still reads in KM from Japan)

The engine and 5 speed auto transmission run smoothly with no issues, and the engine is unmodified running roughly 280bhp. The car came with a shotgun style back box and otherwise the exhaust is standard, giving a little V8 sound without being overpowering.

Other features include Cruise control, air con, electric seats front and rear. Touchscreen controls on the head unit. Rear climate control and stereo controls on the arm rest.

The underside is clean and has just been re-treated with Lanoguard, some small patches of surface corrosion have been dealt with prior to this.

Other parts fitted in my ownership include;

New OEM half-seat covers with embriodered Cima logo.

New bonnet emblem.

New wood veneer steering wheel.

Dad Garson passenger 'VIP table'.

Driftworks and Hardrace adjustable rear suspension arms.

New wheel bearings.

New aux pulley bearings and viscous fan.

New oem Bosch coilpacks x8.

New MAF sensor.

All fluids replaced.

Front and rear ARB Polybushes and adjustable drop links

New brake disks and pads front and rear, and parking brake shoes replaced.

Space-saver spare wheel in the boot.

2 Keys, however one needs coding to the car, this is one thing I never got around to.

Some spare parts will be included, including Japanese style show plates, a second front grille, original springs for the BC coilovers and anything else I have tucked away.

Always kept garaged and always run on Momentum99 or V-Power.

Partial service history stamps / stickers in Japanese, unfortunately this is how it came from Japan but hopefully the condition will give confidence that it’s been very well looked after and wanted for nothing.

MOT due 24/07/2026.

The only things that are a detriment to this car are the jacking points have been bent (not my doing), there is a cigarette burn on the drivers seat which I have tried to repair but it doesn’t look perfect, the CD changer in the boot has never worked, and the driver side mirror is slow to fold in electrically.
