Description:

Having owned our VW Transporter campervan for over 4 years, we are looking to move into a larger motorhome. If you have one for sale and are looking to downsize, I am happy to add cash for a suitable vehicle.

Being a Highline model, the van benefits from a good specification including a 6-speed gearbox, air conditioning, Bluetooth hands-free calls, heated mirrors and reverse parking sensors. When we took ownership, to improve the ride quality, I bought a set of genuine VW steel wheels and OE Hankook load-rated tyres (having covered delivery miles only). These were powder coated again to restore their appearance in March 2025 and now have covers to protect them from UV damage.

The accommodation offers sleeping for up to 4 in a light and bright interior. There are 2x240v sockets plus a USB power outlet. LED touch-sensitive lights feature above and the cupboards have rechargeable motion-sensor lighting within. The freestanding fridge is housed on the counter top and runs on either 12v or mains supply when using the electric hook-up. There is a stainless steel sink with tap and electric pump, plus a twin-burner gas hob. Further storage is available below the rear rock 'n' roll bed, accessible from both the front and rear. It is a high-quality professional conversion that cost almost £10k in 2017 (invoices and certificates included).

At above 220k, the mileage of the van is relatively high. However, over 204k was covered in the first 5 years during business ownership. Since its conversion into a campervan in 2017, it has covered only 20k miles. It has a comprehensive service history (the majority being with VW), with stamps and invoices to support all work carried out. This has included a new clutch and flywheel fitted by a VW dealer immediately prior to our purchase (at a cost of £1500). The timing belt has been changed twice, most recently in June 2024. A list of the maintenance is detailed below.

1st owner: 2013-2014 covering 20,307 miles.

2nd owner: 2014-2017 covering up to 204,468 miles - Sprint Refrigeration & Catering Equipment Ltd (supplying dealer sales invoice included).

Campervan conversion: 2017 by Spektrum Interiors at £9,566 to include:

- Austops pop-top (with certificate)

- Austops crash tested rock 'n' roll bed, plus 2 seat belts (with certificate)
