The BMW E36 M3 Evolution ("Evo") was a significant upgrade to the original E36 M3, introduced in Europe in 1995. It featured a larger, more powerful 3.2-litre S50B32 engine with dual VANOS (variable valve timing), an increased 321 bhp output, a new six-speed gearbox. Chassis revisions included a stiffer suspension, stronger hubs, and a quicker steering ratio, resulting in a more agile and nimble driving experience, making the Evo a refined and potent, though externally similar, evolution of the model.
