Overview

Unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the Bentley Continental GTC would go on to be the fastest-selling vehicle in Bentley’s long and illustrious history. Here was a car that would look perfectly at home wafting around London or Monaco alike, and give you a sumptuous, relaxing and yet brisk journey between the two, should you call upon it to do so. This was drop-top grand touring at its finest, and the first-generation Continental still holds its own to this day.

For those that wanted their journey between the world’s great cities to be carried out at an even greater pace, Bentley launched the Continental GTC Speed in 2009. Boosting power output to 600bhp from the twin-turbocharged W12 engine, the Speed also received minor styling updates, larger wheels and revised suspension, which sharpened the sportiest suspension modes for better performance, without sacrificing Bentley’s trademark wafty comfort in the softer modes.

This example was first registered in 2011, and is finished in a timeless and wonderfully understated colour combination of Anthracite Metallic paintwork over a black quilted leather interior. With a service history comprising exclusively of main dealer and specialist works, along with having a new suspension pump and compressor fitted in October 2025, this GTC Speed appears to want for nothing save for a trip to the Riviera (English or French, take your pick!) and little else.

  • In the rear, the luggage compartment is clean and free of any staining

  • Under the boot floor is a space-saving spare wheel and emergency tool kit

  • No reported faults or issues

  • Overall, a very well-kept interior with no signs of any heavy wear or unsightly damage

Exterior

  • Smart anthracite metallic paintwork which presents very well

  • The front end shows a handful of small stone chips, commensurate for a vehicle of this age and mileage

  • We note a couple of light scratches on the nearside front wing

  • The lower edge of the driver’s door shows two patches of bubbling

  • There appears to be some staining / damage on the lower edge of the passenger door, as well as the front edge of the nearside side skirt

  • The chrome door handle inlays are lightly blemished from years of use, as are the chrome exhaust tips

  • As far as we can see, all of the light lenses are free from any UV ‘hazing’ or damage

  • Up above, the folding roof is lightly creased, but free of any rips, tears or damage

  • The seller informs us that when operating the automatic roof the front latches need to be manually closed
  • Elsewhere on the bodywork, there are one or two minor blemishes and imperfections

  • All four wheels present in fair condition, with all four wheels showing damage/kerb rash

  • Overall, a smart and well-kept example of the performance Continental GTC that would benefit from a wheel refurbishment to take it to the next level

  • Under the bonnet, everything looks to be in its right-and-proper place, with no signs of any heavily corroded fixtures or fittings and all covers in-place

  • Reported to be in excellent mechanical health, with no known issues being highlighted by the seller

  • Full main dealer / independent specialist history

Summary

A fantastic daily driver for those that like a little luxury for their commute, or a physics-defying grand tourer that seems to perform and drive in a manner that hides its undeniable heft and luxurious features, the GTC Speed is a wonderfully well-rounded super GT, and makes any journey feel like an occasion, whether its a trip into the office or heading south to Monaco for the winter.
