Overview

The second (and sadly, final) iteration of Jaguar’s 2+2 XK coupe, the X150-generation XK launched in 2005. Penned by Ian Callum, it’s hard to believe that the initial design of the XK is now over 20 years old, as it still looks fantastic to this day, with the post-2009 facelifted models in particular still looking impressively fresh-faced.

Powered initially by a 4.2-litre AJ V8 engine, facelifted cars benefitted from fitment of a 5.0-litre AJ V8 engine, in both naturally aspirated and supercharged form, the latter being reserved for the R models.

This particular XK coupe is a post-facelift example, finished in the attractive shade of Polaris White over a two-tone leather interior, and has been in the care of the current owner since March 2024, during which time it has been serviced and received significant mechanical attention in the form of new injectors, tyres and more.

Interior

  • Two-tone leather interior in good condition throughout

  • Turned aluminium dash inserts

  • Alpine audio system

  • Heated/cooled front seats

  • The over-mat in the driver’s footwell is heavily worn and stained

  • There is some typical wear-and-tear to the outer driver’s seat bolster, and a noticeable indentation in the centre of the base

  • The driver’s seat is also slightly ‘shiny’ and baggy from years of use

  • We note some wear and discolouration to the steering wheel centre and 9/3 o’clock trims

  • Whilst there is some light wear to the steering column stalks, door cards, switchgear and high-traffic areas, this is generally below what would be considered typical for a vehicle of this age and mileage

  • Both rear seats look to be in very good shape

  • The boot hatch struts show some corrosion but appear to be in full working order

  • The boot itself is clean and tidy with no heavy staining noted

  • No reported faults or issues

Exterior

  • Polaris white paintwork which presents very well on the whole

  • Contrasting black side graphics

  • Front-end PPF

  • Contrasting aftermarket wheel rim protectors

  • The seller notes that there are a few scratches on the front end, but these are reportedly only in the PPF, rather than affecting the paintwork itself

  • The seller also notes that the bodywork is free of any dents

  • Both the front and rear lights look to be free from hazing or UV damage

  • The lower front bumper exhibits a large crack/impact on the leading edge

  • Both rear exhaust tips are typically weathered

  • All four wheels - wrapped in recently-fitted Uniroyal tyres - look to be in great shape, showing only one or two small stone chips and minor imperfections

  • Overall, a well-kept example of the British performance coupe which exhibits one or two signs of life

Mechanical

  • 5.0-litre naturally aspirated AJ V8 engine, producing 380bhp

  • Six-speed automatic gearbox

  • Rear-wheel drive

  • The rear brake discs and pads were replaced in March 2025

  • No modifications from factory specification

  • The seller reports that this XK drives superbly, with no known mechanical issues

Summary

Well-kept and with a strong history, along with recent mechanical attention to the injectors and spark plugs, this XK coupe is a handsome British GT car that would make for an excellent daily driver, complete with a sonorous V8 soundtrack.
