1991 Lamborghini

This Lamborghini Diablo is one of the earliest examples supplied to the U.K. market in right-hand drive, presented in its original specification of Argento Metallic over Rosso interior. Consigned to Portman, then Lamborghini Concessionaires for the U.K., the car rolled off the production line in Sant ’Agata in August 1991 and was delivered to its first custodian in October 1991. Being an early production Diablo, the car has some distinctive features over later models including a higher and adjustable dash binnacle (also nicknamed ‘high-dash’), an optional high rear wing and 17’’ tele-dial wheels.

This Diablo was owned by noted enthusiasts and collectors, one of whom updated the appearance of the car following the release of the SE30. This variant was a limited production Diablo built to celebrate the company’s 30th Anniversary, with the owner purchasing an SE30 front bumper and fitting it to this vehicle in period. Enjoying limited, but consistent usage through the 90s and 00s, this Diablo would enjoy regular maintained by renowned marque specialist Mike Pullen of Carrera Sport.

In 2020, the previous custodian of this high-dash Diablo (the owner of a Mclaren approved body shop) commissioned a complete cosmetic refresh of the vehicle, which included a comprehensive repaint in its original shade. Once the works were finished, Furlonger were tasked with professionally storing the vehicle and maintaining where required. In 2023 we sold the Diablo to its current keeper, a meticulous collector of low-production classics and supercars. Since taking ownership, he has spared no expense in ensuring the Diablo remain presented and maintained to the highest standard. Upon purchasing the car, it was immediately detailed and fitted with PPF that spans across the entire bodywork. Further, he has used the car diligently during the summer, with the car remaining in professional storage when not in use and returned to our workshops for routine maintenance and servicing.
