Overview

When a car remains not only in production but also instantly recognisable for over 60 years you know they got it right. Well, the car in question is the legendary Porsche 911, one of the most famous and revered automobiles to ever grace tarmac. Now onto its eighth generation in the form of the 992 – introduced in 2019 – the 911 has transcended mere nuts and bolts to become a cultural icon, a status that has been quite rightfully earned over its illustrious lifespan.

Still rear-engined. Still a flat-six. Still a two-door coupe. Still blisteringly fast. The fact that the basic design of the 911 has changed little, generally speaking, since its inception should tell you all you need to know about just how good the most successful sports car in the world is. This particular early model 2019 Porsche 911 992 is the Carrera S Cabriolet which means a folding roof and a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine producing 450bhp, all delivered neatly to the rear wheels via an eight-speed PDK automatic gearbox. With just one owner from new and presenting in stunning condition both inside and out the car really does look as good as it drives.
