1970 JAGUAR E-TYPE

The Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Fixed Head Coupé, produced from 1968 to 1971, represents an evolution of one of the most iconic sports cars ever built. With its elongated bonnet, graceful curves, and balanced proportions, the Series 2 retained the timeless elegance of its predecessor while improving drivability and comfort. It featured open headlights, larger bumpers, and a wider grille for better cooling. Powered by a robust 4.2-litre inline-six engine, it delivered both performance and refinement. Inside, upgraded seats and improved ventilation made it more practical for long drives. The Series 2 remains a symbol of British automotive artistry and innovation.

This 1970 example is finished in Opalescent Dark Green paintwork with a beige leather interior, arguably ‘the’ colour combination to have! The car comes with a history file showing the major restoration it went through over the period of 1990 to 1992. 2000 also saw the car have some restoration work done. A separate photo album shows the photographs during these periods.
