1998 Ferrari

A beautifully presented and impeccably documented Ferrari 550 Maranello, completed on 10 December 1997. Finished in the iconic combination of Rosso Corsa DS 322 with Crema 3997 hide and Bordeaux carpets, this is one of 459 officially imported UK-supplied cars. Only 359 remain taxed or SORN’d today, and just 89 are finished in any shade of red-metallic or non metallic-, making this example particularly desirable.

Supplied through Charles Hurst Ltd, Belfast, where it was first registered on 7 January 1998 to its first owner, a Belfast businessman. The original invoice totalled £143,684.88, plus delivery, plates and tax, with the sole factory option being the space saver spare wheel kit (£423).

Ownership History

Owner 1 – 1998 to 2005

Belfast-based first owner, cared for exclusively by Charles Hurst, maintaining a faultless early service record.

Owner 2 – 2005 to 2010

Purchased sight unseen by Mr C.M. of Oxfordshire (later chairman of the Ferrari Owners Club) who traded in his Ferrari 456. Kept for five and a half years before part-exchanging for a 575 F1.

Owner 3 – 2010 to 2025

Purchased through the Ferrari Owners’ Club by Mr M.C. of Surrey at approximately 19,000 miles. During his tenure the dashboard was professionally re-trimmed to address leather shrinkage, and a new clutch was fitted at 31,600 miles.
