Description

Hello up for sale is my stunning 1977 Pontiac Trans Am
Genuine Trans Am from factory, not a dressed up clone
Believed to be matching numbers.
It's one of the nicest driving old American cars i've driven, drives like I imagine it would have driven when brand new.
Been a U.K. car almost since new and I have some interesting pics of it in the 80’s and 90’s with previous owners etc
The engine is the original 6.6 litre V8, excellent strong running engine with no issues and is a lot of fun to drive with plenty of power, starts great hot or cold without any issues.
I drive my cars most weekends when the weather is nice so it’s not a car that just sits around.
Has factory air conditioning but currently not working, never really bothered me.
Exhaust has a nice rumble, sounds like a V8 should, definitely can hear it coming but not overly loud.
Suspension all nice and smooth and brakes all operate well.
Automatic 3 speed transmission, shifts perfect with no issues, kicks down as it should.
Power steering.
Power brakes.
15 x 7 snowflake wheels recently refurbed
so are in excellent condition.
235/60/15 General Grabber raised white letter tyres all have excellent tread.
Factory blue cloth interior is in excellent condition, headlining all good, interior looks all factory original and not been messed with.
Glass all good.
The bodywork is in very good condition with no rot I can see anywhere, same goes for the underneath, all very solid, obviously welcome to check for yourself if you were to come to view.
Factory white paint is mostly still the original paint so it presents well but is not mint, a few areas have been touched up etc, it won’t win any shows but is nice driver quality, but then I’m not asking £30k + like most people do.
The big Firebird decal on the hood is all original so it shows some cracking and wear so could be replaced with a new decal to make perfect but it kind of adds character I always think how it looks now.
MOT exempt due to being a historic vehicle.
Road Tax exempt.
London ULEZ exempt.
HPI clear.
V5 present and in my name.
Vin number all correct on dash.
Driver’s side door sticker in place.
Cowl tag still in place.
So to conclude it’s a 48 year old car so it’s not concourse perfect but it is a lovely car and nice condition, a good investment too as these cars are only going up in value.
This shape arguably being the most popular too because of Smokey And The Bandit.
Viewings welcome near Twickenham, Middlesex, it’s stored a few miles from where I live so please only come to view if you’re serious about actually buying so we don’t waste each other’s time, many thanks.
Open to a near offer, although any half decent 77-81 Trans Am nowadays under £25k is good value in my opinion.
Doubt you would find a cheaper one than mine in the U.K. in similar condition really.
Not looking for swaps or px’s as there’s something else I want to buy although I am on the lookout for a new daily driver so may be open to something around or under £4k but must be Ulez compliant and petrol.
If interested please call or message for a video of the car or more pictures.
Thanks for looking.
