1988 PORSCHE CARRERA

A genuine, and well cared for example of the classic 911. Ive owned this car just under 6 years, during which time it has been enjoyed, sparingly, and well looked after. Ive always avoided using it in wet weather, and over the winter months, and this shows in the condition. It's a 37 year old car, so there is the odd stone chip, some restoration was done on the kidney bowls some years ago, this is shown in the large history file. That said, the car is very original body and paint wise, the factory stickers are still in place on the bonnet, and rear boot lid. Mechanically it's as it should be, no rattles, noises etc. The gearbox is very smooth, and being a G50, pretty bullet proof. I will give the car an oil change prior to sale, it was done back in April, but I always put new oil in when she's stored over the winter, and then change it again in spring. Since Ive owned the car, I have done a few upgrades, but nothing that can't be reversed. The front valence I changed, personally I think it looks better without the fog lights, but the original WILL be included in the sale. The car also has a full stainless steel exhaust system, from Hayward and Scott. This comprises of equal length manifolds, heat exchangers, and rear single exit silencer. Again, the original system will be included. Last winter, I stripped the entire front end, and did a complete refresh. New wheel bearings, new discs and pads, completely re-bushed the entire front end with poly bushes. A massive improvement in feel. The steering rack was also overhauled with new bearings, and Turbo arms. Again, a great improvement. The car is an absolute joy to drive, and the exhaust sounds fantastic. Not boomy, but has a lovely wail above 3500RPM. It's also a lot smoother being less restrictive. All in all, it's been a great car to own, and I will certainly miss it, but I have another car almost ready to go, and can't justify two expensive toys.
