1977 PORSCHE CARRERA

An opportunity to purchase a rare 911 Carrera 3.0 Sport, one of just 3,600 to have left the Zuffenhausen factory between 1976 and 1977. The 200hp 3.0 Sport produced 10 horsepower less than the 2.7 RS however in part thanks to the K - Jetronic fuel injection was capable of 25% better fuel economy, a perfect remedy for the then ongoing Oil crisis continuing from 1973.

This stunning example was supplied to the UK market with the desirable Sport package which included the front and rear spoilers, Fusch style alloy wheels and the delightful Tan checkered interior. The original registration RUL 5R remains with the car, first assigned in April of 1977.

Following a brief stint in Australia, the car has been subjected to a full bare metal respray, from its original colour to the vibrant and deep metaalic red, extensive mechanical work and as such presents beautifully.

Most recent mechanical work includes brake pads & discs, as well as handbrake cables and works to the transmission.

A large history file accompanies the car, as do two sets of keys.
