⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY
Charming, practical, and exceptionally easy to maintain, the Triumph Herald makes for a delightful classic ownership experience.
Offering charm, practicality, and style, the Triumph Herald 1200 is an ideal choice for the enthusiast who prioritises the retro experience and ease of ownership over raw speed. Its standout features are its uniquely accessible, DIY-friendly mechanics and a separate chassis design that provides superb access to the engine. Despite its humble 1200cc engine, the car is fun and engaging on country roads, thanks to its accurate steering and delightful handling.
These attributes make it an ideal starter classic. Enhancing its appeal are the distinctive Michelotti styling, independent suspension, disc brakes, and superb support from numerous independent specialists for parts and upgrades. A long lived design, the Herald offered practical novelties such as an exceptionally tight turning circle, complemented by a wood veneer dash panel and rubber bumpers.
This August 1967 convertible finished in 'Cherry Red' with a 'Cactus Green' coloured vinyl interior is one of the later, highly-specified 1200 models, factory-fitted with useful options like front disc brakes and a heater. It boasts incredible provenance, having been owned by three generations of the same family since new. This very original and solid example comes from ~29 years with our vendor and has been family owned since new, it displays only ~17,335 miles on the clock and received a careful paint renovation in 2020. Documentation includes the original bill of sale and MOTs back to 2005.
If you're in the market with a Herald convertible with arguably the best provenance on the market today, then maybe this is the car for you.
