2009 Ferrari

Production began on 12 December 2008, with the car invoiced to Ferrari UK on 16 January 2009. It was specified in "out of range colour" Rosso Fiorano 321 over a Sabbia (Sand) 4310 interior with Bordeaux (Dark Red) 461 carpets.

Originally priced at £202,425 on the road, the car was extensively factory-optioned, including out-of-range paint, yellow brake calipers, enamel Scuderia shields, 20-inch Ferrari Challenge-style wheels, a carbon-fibre driver zone with LED shift indicator, Daytona-style seats with full electric adjustment, upholstered rear bench and door trims, BOSE hi-fi, front parking sensors, and a Sabbia hide roof lining.

First registered by Ferrari agents Stratstone as their demonstrator, the four-year factory warranty commenced on 12 November 2009. Six weeks later with 210 miles, Stratstone fitted the HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) package, adding faster gear changes, stiffer suspension, a lower ride height, revised tyres, an improved exhaust, and lighter modular wheels. The HGTE upgrade was invoiced at £21,973.20.

The first private owner, a company director from Greater Manchester, purchased the car on 2 May 2010 with 930 miles recorded, subsequently re-registering it on personal plates. The penultimate owner, a London-based company director, acquired the car from Maranello Sales in Surrey on 6 December 2012, at which point it had covered just 2,230 miles.

The current owner, an English gentleman resident in the Cayman Islands, purchased the car from us in August 2025. Importation costs proved prohibitive and, although the vehicle was registered to a friend’s address in England on 1 October 2025, insurance could not be arranged due to the owner’s non-domiciled status. Consequently, the car never left our premises, was never collected, and was subsequently bought back by us.

The car is accompanied by a factory replacement service book with 15 stamps, together with the original handbooks and leather wallet. It is one of only 90 red examples (metallic and non-metallic) among the 332 cars that remain taxed or on SORN today.
