The upper dash is elegantly trimmed in black leather, while the lower dash matches the main hide. Royal Blue Wilton carpeting extends throughout, including the boot, all bound in leather, with embossed Aston Martin flying wings on the over-carpets. The Burr Walnut woodwork throughout the cabin is impeccable, and the door kick plates are finished to a mirror polish. The car is equipped with air conditioning, power steering and electric windows. This car, the 29th example produced, was first registered on 11 June 1987. It was factory-fitted with a kilometre speedometer and built to full Vantage X-PACK specification, featuring a five-speed ZF manual gearbox. After a short succession of owners early in its life, our Managing Director acquired the car in January 1991. Over the subsequent 35 years, it has had just four further owners, each cherishing and enjoying this automotive masterpiece, evidenced by two AMOC chrome badges adorning the gearbox tunnel. In 2013, the car was acquired by its most recent custodian, the owner of a world-renowned car collection. The storage facility was, without doubt, one of the finest we have encountered, and we have seen many collections over the years. Under their stewardship, the car was stripped to bare metal, with every component meticulously removed. Extensive photographic records document this process. The body was then expertly prepared and repainted in Rolls-Royce Royal Blue (9510457). At the heart of any Vantage lies its engine, an exquisite masterpiece crafted by a select group of highly experienced craftsmen. The raw alloy castings are machined in-house, with all major components precisely balanced prior to assembly. A single specialist oversees the entire engine build process, bench-testing it on the factory dynamometer for a minimum of two and a half hours across a range of predetermined revs and loads to ensure optimal performance. Each engine requires approximately 58 man-hours to complete, with the builder recording the power figures for every unit. A brass plaque bearing the name of the engineer, Mike Peach, attests to the craftsmanship involved. This represents one of the finest examples available globally. We are thrilled to present this magnificent vehicle once again, 35 years later. Now available for viewing at the DD Classics Dealership in London, please call to book an appointment.
